At J. M. Stevens, we dream about, drool over, and view custom knives as an art form. These tools of beauty can be used for so many of life's daily tasks, whether helping you prepare a delicious meal for friends and family, slicing through rough terrain, or simply opening a box containing your newest purchase. That's why we are so excited to help you craft your next perfect tool. Let us walk you through the process; this is exciting.

A few things to know as we begin: Custom J. M. Stevens knives start at $400. This is a small price to pay for the many hours spent cutting, grinding, shaping, polishing, and admiring your new custom. Not to mention the materials have to come from somewhere. Our pricing reflects quality material and quality time.

We also want to make sure you're aware that our lead times (time it takes until we are able to start on your creation due to other orders) currently reach into September 2024.

So here's the process:

Step 1. Fill out the Custom Knife Request form HERE so we can get in on your vision.

Step 2. We'll get to work formulating a custom quote just for you and promptly email it to you.

Step 3. After you approve that quote (cause you're the boss), we'll ask that you put down a 50% deposit so we can start gathering supplies.

Step 4. Once we have received your deposit, your knife will be officially on our list, and Jaymes will begin dreaming about it night and day. There's a big list-adding ceremony and everything.

Step 5. After your creation is complete, we'll send you an email so we can arrange final payment and delivery!

Step 6. Once your custom is paid in full, we will ship your item within 1-3 business days or set up a time to meet you (if you're local). We'll start getting excited to see how much you're going to love and enjoy your custom for many years to come!
